Physician Assistant - Emergency Services Administration

Job Description Working with a team of health professionals in an inter-professional collaborative model and under the supervision and/or delegation of a supervising physician (and in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's policy on delegation) the Physician Assistant will provide quality patient focused care to patients in the Emergency Department under medical directives or direct orders. Accountabilities: Conducting patient interviews and taking medical histories; Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients; Providing education and support to patients and their families; Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care; Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatments; Participating in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field; Completion of a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field is an asset; Current registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario as a Physician Assistant; Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an asset.
