Location: Avera St Luke's Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays (United States of America) Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. A Brief Overview: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists in the delivery of physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Education: Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of South Dakota. CPR Certification required. What You Will Do: Provides direct patient care in the form of therapeutic exercise, gait training, modalities, and other interventions under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Documents patient progress, response to treatment, and other relevant information in the medical record. Communicates effectively with the Physical Therapist, patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures. What You Will Need: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current South Dakota PTA license. Current CPR certification. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care.
