Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

As a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans that help residents regain or maintain mobility, function, and independence. You’ll provide hands-on therapy, educate patients and families, and support the rehabilitation team in delivering high-quality care. Some of the responsibilities of this role include: • Providing physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist • Implementing treatment plans that help residents regain or maintain mobility, function, and independence • Educating patients and families on proper techniques and exercises for optimal rehabilitation outcomes • Supporting the rehabilitation team in delivering high-quality care • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of patient progress and treatment plans • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to ensure exceptional care and service to our residents. Some of the qualifications and requirements for this role include: • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred • Completion of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) required • Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state where you will be working required • Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals required • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information required.
