Pharmacy Technician
Job description
Job Summary The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the technical tasks of the Pharmacy operations. These duties include dispensing pharmaceuticals, re-stocking nursing units, filling prescriptions, delivering narcotics, preparation of I.V. solutions, ordering from pharmaceutical companies, compounding, record keeping and performing other related duties as required. Job Demands By applying for this job, you acknowledge an understanding that regular requirements and demands of this job includes: maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures, working in a fast-paced environment, being able to lift up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods of time, and performing other related duties as required. Requirements The Pharmacy Technician must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, and have completed a training program approved by the state board of pharmacy.
