As we continue to grow, we are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Assistant to strengthen our pharmacy team and ensure the highest standards of accuracy and patient safety in our medication dispensing processes.

Job Description
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role within the pharmacy team. You are responsible for checking the accuracy of dispensed medication and adhering to relevant regulations and best practices. Your attention to detail and commitment to patient safety contribute to the quality of our service delivery and patient trust in our care.

Main Responsibilities:

• Accuracy Control: Evaluate and control dispensed medication based on prescriptions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with pharmacy protocols and regulations.
• Medication Management: Assist in preparing and dispensing medication, both prescription and over-the-counter, according to established procedures and protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in quality initiatives, conduct controls and audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure good practices in medication management.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of dispensed medication, including patient information, prescription information, and conducted controls, according to legal requirements and company policy.
• Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists and other team members to support efficient workflows and resolve any discrepancies or issues with medication dispensing.
• Patient Contact: Support patients in receiving medication advice, answering questions or concerns, and ensuring they have the necessary information for safe use.
• Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Stay up-to-date with current Dutch pharmacy laws and guidelines (as set by the KNMP and IGJ), and ensure all work activities comply with national standards and best practices within the pharmacy.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Must have completed the MBO (middle-level vocational education) level 4 training for Pharmacy Assistant
• Experience: Experience in a pharmacy setting is desirable, with good knowledge of pharmacy processes and medication dispensing.
• Attention to Detail: Very accurate work and focus on patient safety.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
• Team Player: You work well together in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
• IT Skills: Proficient in Google Drive and/or Office applications.
• Availability to start in September
