Mandatory Internship Web Development (min. 4 months, German-speaking) m/f/d

Elephant is looking for reinforcements in Development. Maybe you are it.

We are an agency from Ingolstadt for sophisticated websites and digital projects. You will work on real client projects, not just practice pages. Our team works hybrid: location and time flexible, firmly integrated into the team, with the freedom to work responsibly.

Tasks

• Co-development of websites and web apps with JavaScript/TypeScript, focusing on React and Next.js; additionally Node.js and, if necessary, NestJS (APIs/Backend).

• Working with Headless CMS: Sanity and Payload (content models, queries/GROQ, integration with the frontend).

• PHP where it fits the project (WordPress backend, custom themes/plugins).

• Implementation and maintenance of WordPress projects including Elementor.

• Support with shops using WooCommerce or Shopify.

• Testing, go-live, deployment preparation, data maintenance, and minor bug fixes.

• Dynamic content, custom post types, listings (WordPress/JetEngine or in the CMS with Sanity/Payload).

• SEO basics in implementation: Clean page structure, meta data, semantic HTML, considering performance and technical SEO fundamentals.

• Close coordination with UI/UX and project management.

Qualifications

You will fit in well with us if you…

• Have a firm grasp of JavaScript and want to learn or deepen your knowledge of TypeScript.

• Consider HTML, CSS, and responsive implementation self-evident.

• Are enthusiastic about Next.js and Headless CMS (Sanity/Payload); we use WordPress/Elementor depending on the project.

• Do not shy away from PHP and WordPress (Elementor, JetEngine; ideally have already encountered WooCommerce or Shopify).

• Bring experience with Git.

• Can work with Kanban/Scrum and take responsibility in a small team.

• Basic knowledge of SEO (e.g., on-page, Core Web Vitals, indexing) is a plus, not a requirement.

• Show initiative, have an eye for clean implementation in design, and appreciate a culture of learning from mistakes rather than bureaucratic perfectionism (you won't get a fruit basket though).
