Mandatory Internship Backend Software Development & AI (m/f/d) - Python, APIs & MedTech

Think3DDD is an innovative startup from Berlin-Adlershof and develops software solutions in the fields of 3D scanning, 3D printing, and medical technology. Our goal: personalized, digital solutions that make healthcare more sustainable and individual.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for dedicated interns in the field of backend software development with an AI focus who are eager to contribute to real systems, from APIs and data pipelines to the integration of intelligent models.

Tasks

• Development and further development of backend functionalities with Python (e.g., APIs, services, data processing).

• Setup, documentation, and maintenance of interfaces (e.g., REST APIs).

• Integration of data processing and analysis pipelines in a medical-technical context.

• Contribution to AI-supported components – e.g., data preparation, model integration, or optimization of existing models.

• Collaboration with frontend, design, and product teams to implement functions cleanly.

• Further development of existing algorithms (e.g., segmentation, classification, or optimization).

Qualification

1. Enrolled student in a relevant degree program, e.g.:

Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Technology, Computational Engineering

or a comparable field with a focus on software development, data, or AI

2. Good knowledge of Python.

3. Basic understanding of backend architectures & APIs (e.g., REST). Interest in AI, Machine Learning, or data processing (experience is a plus, but not a must).

4. Ideally, initial exposure to frameworks or libraries such as FastAPI, Flask, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, or scikit-image.

Structured way of working, teamwork skills, and eagerness to learn.

6. Good German or English language skills.

Important: You don't need to be an AI expert. What's crucial is your interest in familiarizing yourself with real systems.
