The Bergstraße District Hospital is an institution of the University Hospital Heidelberg and an academic teaching hospital. With 267 beds and around 950 employees, it treats over 15,000 inpatients and 35,000 outpatients annually. The hospital has departments for General and Visceral Surgery with a Section for Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Internal Medicine I and II with a Section for Geriatrics, Neurology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, as well as Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery with a Section for Spinal Surgery. The range of services is complemented by Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. Furthermore, the District Hospital has an interdisciplinary emergency department that treats approximately 30,000 patients annually, as well as an operating department with five operating rooms.

• In our Central Emergency Department, a highly dynamic work environment with a wide spectrum of medical cases awaits you.
• You will care for our patients together with a dedicated interdisciplinary team – from the initial assessment to further treatment.
• Additionally, you will care for the connected observation ward, where patients are temporarily admitted for close monitoring.
• Here you will work closely with doctors and other departments to ensure safe and high-quality care.

• Completed training as a qualified nurse (w/m/d) or in general and hospital nursing and/or completed specialist training for acute and emergency medicine
