The Kadaster registers and provides data on the location of real estate in the Netherlands and the related rights, such as ownership and mortgage. As an independent administrative authority, that is our statutory task. Our data provide a foundation for investigating social issues, whether it's about finding the best route for a new highway, current developments on the housing market or presenting vacancy.

Job
As a cloud engineer, you will help Kadaster migrate to future infrastructure. You will be closely involved in the execution of the migration and assist with post-migration activities. Additionally, we will work together with the supplier (KPN) to improve the platform and CI/CD.

You are an experienced cloud engineer who is well-equipped to speak the language of DevOps teams and bridge the gap with suppliers. Location is Kadaster de Brug in Apeldoorn.

Main tasks and responsibilities
To prepare our IT services for a transition to platforms from new suppliers, a migration project has been started. The goal of this is to migrate all Kadaster IT services from the current private cloud to alternative platforms (public cloud, hybrid cloud), which provide a better starting point for a smooth transition to the new suppliers.

You will work on an application platform (MAP Managed Application Platform) based on Kubernetes (e.g. Openshift) and GitOps (ArgoCD). The team has made many choices, but input from your own initiatives is highly valued. Experience with tools is a plus, but in a rapidly changing world, we consider it more important that you are enthusiastic, learn quickly, and set the bar high.

• Your CV should be written in Dutch and may not exceed a maximum of 6 pages A4;
• At least HBO work and thinking level;
• At least 3 years experience with managing (Ops) Kubernetes clusters;
• At least 3 years experience with Dev and Ops on Openshift 4 / OKD 4;
• At least 3 years experience with Angular or another web framework;
• At least 3 years experience with migrating applications to a new platform (cloud native);
• At least 3 years experience with developing tooling in and around Kubernetes clusters;
• At least 3 years experience in software development, preferably also as lead;
• At least 1 year experience in professionally developing in Golang;
• At least 1 year experience with modern CI/CD tooling
• At least 3 years experience with one or more of the major cloud providers;
