This is the environment you will be working in

Something new is emerging at Commissarislaan 35-5. We are starting with a new team. This means you won't be stepping into an existing structure, but will help shape how we work here. You will be working with aging clients with a moderate intellectual disability. They each have their own lives and rhythms and primarily seek contact with their support worker. What makes the work here special is that the support needs are changing. As they age, physical care increases, while the need for clarity, calm, and familiarity remains. This requires colleagues who can adapt, observe, and look ahead.

• You have a minimum work and thinking level of 5. Preferably, you have experience in disability care. You are willing to follow (practical) training if necessary;
• You bring calmness and overview, but also curiosity;
• You look beyond behavior and try to understand what someone needs;
• You dare to provide direction and make choices, while simultaneously remaining open to listening to others;
• You find it rewarding to build something new together, especially in a new situation.

What does the role look like

As a personal support worker, you have a central role around the client. You know the client well, understand what is important in daily life, and ensure that support remains aligned with it. You maintain an overview, coordinate with relatives and other stakeholders, and ensure that plans are not just on paper but truly come to life in daily support. In your work, you are hands-on. You provide direct support and care where needed and observe how small changes can affect a client's well-being. Precisely because physical decline plays a larger role, you continuously ask: what is needed now and what does this mean for tomorrow? You involve colleagues in this without it becoming 'burdensome'. You help the team maintain a consistent approach, but there is also room to explore together. Because we are building this team together.

What we offer

• A permanent contract (from 24 hours) with flexibility to work within Frion;
• A salary between €3,052 and €4,262 gross per month (based on 36 hours, FWG 40) + 8% holiday pay and 8.33% year-end bonus;
• Travel expenses reimbursement (car €0.20/km, public transport fully reimbursed);
• A schedule with 8-hour shifts as much as possible;
• Opportunities for personal development with education and training.
