Personnel Dispatcher Rail (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Personnel Dispatcher (m/f/d) for the Rail Logistics operation, full-time, effective immediately. This position is based at the Dormagen site.

Your main responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the operational and, in the future, cross-site personnel dispatch for the Rail department, ensuring reliable staffing for all services and shifts. You will plan, manage, and optimize personnel deployment, taking into account qualifications, vacation, sick leave, and other absences.

Furthermore, you will actively develop personnel dispatching, establish transparent substitution and reserve concepts, create clear processes, and support professional personnel management through meaningful key performance indicators. You will work closely with operational managers, the control center, and HR on efficient deployment planning.

Another focus will be on the digitalization of planning and dispatching processes. You will support the introduction of new rail software and contribute to making existing processes future-proof and digital.

• Several years of experience in personnel, deployment, or shift dispatching

• Confident handling of complex shift systems and short-term personnel shortages

• Strong organizational skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work

• Understanding of the demands of a 24/7 operation

• High affinity for IT and software

• Enjoyment of developing processes, building new structures, and actively shaping digitalization

• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and ideally experience in the railway or industrial railway environment
