We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Workers to join our team of highly skilled professionals. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Follow strict safety and infection control protocols to safeguard the well-being of both clients and staff.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, and community outings, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Maintain effective communication with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and responsive care.
- Comply with all resident care policies and safety protocols, responding swiftly and appropriately to emergencies as per established procedures.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and standards of care, maintaining high levels of professionalism and accountability.
- Monitor and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, to support the health and well-being of elderly clients and individuals with disabilities.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transfers between beds and wheelchairs, while fostering a strong rapport with residents and individuals with disabilities.
- Support residents with meal preparation and serving, considering dietary needs and preferences, while ensuring they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Offer emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or anxiety and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Participate in care planning meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams, including physiotherapists and social workers.
Qualification & Experience:
- Certificate III qualification is desirable
- The candidate must have at least 1 year’ experience
- Friendly, positive & approachable attitude
Salary: AUD $70,000- $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
