About the Role

Cosmo is looking for a creative and technically minded Perfumer to join our Fragrance Team in Singapore.

The role supports fragrance creation, evaluation, and project delivery across Fine Fragrance, Home Care, Personal Care, and Laundry Care for international markets. Working closely with Evaluation, Laboratory, Regulatory, Technical, Operations, Purchasing, Production, Sales, and global fragrance teams, the Perfumer will help translate customer briefs into compelling, high-performing fragrance solutions.

What You’ll Do

Fragrance Creation & Development

• Create, modify, and optimize fragrance formulations in line with customer briefs, cost targets, regulatory requirements, and olfactive direction
• Troubleshoot formulation, stability, compatibility, and performance issues
• Explore new raw materials, market trends, and fragrance concepts to support innovation

Fragrance Evaluation

• Evaluate fragrance submissions, trials, and benchmark products against customer requirements
• Recommend and implement olfactive and technical improvements
• Maintain strong knowledge of the fragrance library and identify suitable directions for projects
• Support customer evaluations, presentations, and technical discussions

Laboratory & Quality Support

• Support daily laboratory workflow, compounding activities, inventory, consumables, and equipment
• Help maintain laboratory procedures, organization, and compliance; train and coach laboratory assistants; and ensure accurate dilution formulations are recorded in the laboratory management system
• Conduct olfactive quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished fragrances against approved reference standards
• Investigate fragrance and raw-material quality issues and provide technical support

Project & Customer Coordination

• Coordinate fragrance projects from customer request through final submission, tracking timelines and deliverables
• Translate customer requirements into clear project briefs and maintain accurate formulation, project, and technical documentation
• Provide assigned Singapore customers with project updates, technical information, shipment status, and follow-up
• Collaborate across regional and global teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Production, Purchasing, international perfumers, and global evaluation teams
• Support fragrance projects across different regions and collaborate on customer requirements

Market & Innovation Activities

• Monitor new market products, benchmarks, and fragrance trends
• Coordinate new product meetings and analyze selected products
• Participate in trade shows and bring new creative ideas into fragrance development
• Support consumer panel testing and candle/home-care evaluations

What You Bring

• Minimum of four years of experience working with an international evaluation team
• Strong olfactory capabilities and fragrance-selection experience across Fine Fragrance, Home Care, Personal Care, and Laundry Care
• Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Laboratory operations and inventory-management experience, with strong attention to detail
• FORMPAK software experience required

Education & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
• Master’s degree preferred
• Creative and analytical approach to fragrance development
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, international environment

Languages

• English required
• French and/or Spanish preferred
