Performance Video Editor / Cutter (m/w/d) Direct Response & Meta Ads | Freelance

We are a growing D2C brand for security products — known for our alarm bike locks with 120 dB sirens. We sell over Amazon FBA and Shopify in DACH and scale actively through Meta Ads. For our performance output, we are looking for an editor who does not just cut, but sells. Project-based, remote, with the expectation of long-term collaboration.

Tasks

• Cutting of performance ads for Meta (Facebook & Instagram) in a direct-response style
• Implementation of various ad formats: UGC, Testimonial, Talking Head, Demo, Voiceover + B-Roll
• Iteration and variant creation of existing top performers (Hooks, Intros, CTAs, Pacing)
• Incorporation of hook logic, pattern interrupts, retention mechanisms, and CTA frames
• Independent selection of music, sound design, captions/subtitles, motion graphics
• Delivery in 9:16, 4:5, and 1:1 including Meta-compliant specs
• Direct coordination with the marketing lead on o.a.

Qualification

• At least 2 years of verifiable experience in cutting direct-response or performance ads (no classical brand cutting)
• Portfolio with running Meta ads — ideally with performance data (CTR, Hook Rate, ROAS)
• Familiarity with Premiere Pro and/or After Effects; CapCut/DaVinci is advantageous
• Understanding of hook mechanics, ad-testing logic, and psychological triggers
• Fast turnarounds, independent working style, term reliability
• German on at least C1 level (for voiceover understanding, captions, briefings)
• Plus: Experience with e-commerce/D2C brands, Amazon FBA brands, or physical products
