Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in Apache JMeter to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performance testing methodologies-covering scripting, execution, monitoring, and analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our applications deliver scalability, stability, and responsiveness under varying loads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement effective performance testing strategies using Apache JMeter.
• Develop, maintain, and execute performance test scripts for web and API-based applications.
• Conduct load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing to validate system behavior.
• Analyze results to identify bottlenecks, constraints, and opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve performance issues.
• Monitor system and application performance using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, New Relic, or InfluxDB.
• Prepare detailed performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve performance testing frameworks, processes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in performance testing.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Apache JMeter (scripting & execution).
• Solid understanding of performance testing types (load, stress, endurance, scalability).
• Proficiency in analyzing performance metrics and identifying root causes.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools (Grafana, New Relic, Dynatrace, InfluxDB).
• Proven track record in testing web applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Scripting knowledge in Shell, Python, or Groovy.
