Performance Engineer

Responsible to instrument and prepare vehicles/benchs for testing and driving testing vehicles according to procedures.
Understand and manage vehicle behavior and understand how any change on this can affect the full behavior of the vehicle.
Responsible to comply with maintenance and calibration schedules for dedicated equipment.
Knowledge of acquisition systems and databases.
Responsible to get appropriate financial and other approvals as required.
Certify that vehicle and paperwork is properly prepped to perform the required activities.
Advises the product engineer on required changes related to vehicle components or vehicle performance.
Report and follow up on problems found during testing.
Preparation of vehicles and setup of electronic devices, such as computers and remote connections between car and electronic devices.
Continuous improvement for efficiency and clear documentation of testing procedures.
