About the Role..
We’re looking for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to partner with operational leaders and deliver practical, timely people solutions that help the business scale. You’ll be the go‑to adviser for operational people matters, case management and cyclical P&C programs — using strong stakeholder relationships and people data to drive fair outcomes and better decisions.
What’s involved..Stakeholder partnership: Build trusted relationships with your client group to advise on operational people matters and deliver cyclical P&C initiatives.
Case management: Manage minor to moderate people cases (performance management, investigations, employee relations) in a timely, consistent and risk‑aware way.
Insights & escalation: Identify leadership capability gaps and people trends, propose practical solutions and escalate where required.
Operational guidance: Provide coaching and counsel on talent management, employee relations, performance, development and organisational change.
Project support: Support the P&C Manager to design and implement initiatives focused on scaling for growth, culture, recognition and retention.
Cross‑functional collaboration: Work with P&C Centres of Excellence to deliver commercially viable, policy‑aligned people solutions.
Learning & development: Help create a culture of learning with clear pathways for career progression.
Data‑driven decisions: Use people data to inform recommendations and proactive interventions.
Recruitment support: Advise on functional recruitment processes, success profiles and salary benchmarking, award and remuneration reviews.
HR systems accuracy: Maintain accurate Workday records — people moves, title changes and leave entries.
What you bring to the role…
Experience: 2+ years as an HR/P&C generalist or advisor, ideally in operations or warehousing environments.
Ability to build solid working relationships within the P&C team and your client group and become a trusted advisor.
Employee relations skills: Proven experience managing performance processes, investigations and disciplinary matters.
A passion for Operations and Employee/Industrial Relations
Systems & Proficient with Workday (or similar HRIS) and confident using data to shape decisions.
Stakeholder management: Strong partnering skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including SLT.
Practical & commercial mindset: Able to balance policy, people and commercial priorities to deliver pragmatic solutions.
Communication: Clear, diplomatic and concise written and verbal confident communicator who is able to manage difficult conversations with empathy as well as facilitate workshops and influence discussions
Qualifications (desirable): Degree in HR or related field, HR certification (e.g., CIPD/ACCP)
This role will largely be based at THE ICONIC's Fulfilment Centre in Yennora, Western Sydney. In order to adequately support the client group, the role is office based 4 days per week.
What you’ll love about the role…
Impactful role: Directly influence people strategy and operational performance.
Collaborative culture: Work alongside a supportive P&C team and dynamic stakeholders.
Development focus: Opportunities to contribute to projects and grow your HR capabilities.
