Concession Manager Public Policy Decision Making

For Vervoerregio Amsterdam, we are looking for a Concession Manager Public Policy Decision Making. The Vervoerregio is the concessionaire for public transportation in this area. In this area, there are three concessions: GVB rides in Amsterdam, EBS rides in Zaanstreek-Waterland, and Connexxion rides in Amstelland-Meerlanden. The concession Amsterdam with GVB is the most intensive concession; this concession stands politically under a magnifying glass. Within this concession, many developments take place that require public policy decision making. This requires a combination of content knowledge and political-administrative sensitivity. The content will be provided by colleagues from the Concessions and Contracts team, while the political-administrative part will be taken care of by board advisors from the Team Bestuur and Communicatie. For this last team, you can as concession manager bridge the gap between content and politics.

As a concession manager in the field of public policy decision making, you should preferably have experience in the OV domain and knowledge of the work of Vervoerregio.

Your tasks will include:

• Preparing documents (such as proposals, letters, notes, presentations, etc.) for public policy decision making within Vervoerregio Amsterdam;
• Attending and contributing to various meetings;
• Coordinating with colleagues from the Concessions and Contracts team within Vervoerregio (you are not ultimately responsible for the content);

You will work largely independently and proactively. You are curious, broadly oriented, and fully up to date on current affairs within the teams. Furthermore, you know how to set independent actions at the right moment, take over tasks, monitor, and structure.
