About the role We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis for 1 year. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for US employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities * Process bi-weekly payroll for US employees, including data entry, calculation of wages, and generation of paychecks. * Ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. * Maintain employee payroll records, including new hire information, terminations, and changes to employee information. * Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits. * Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and analyses. * Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts. * Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation. * Stay up-to-date on changes to payroll regulations and best practices. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. * 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, with experience processing payroll for US employees. * Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations. * Experience with payroll software, such as Workday. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
