Job description

Job Description Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Compliance Specialist to manage the full cycle of our payroll, statutory compliance, employee offboarding, and related administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes and Indian labor laws and be dedicated to maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in all tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. Key responsibilities include: • Managing the full cycle of payroll processing from data entry to payment issuance. • Ensuring statutory compliance with Indian labor laws and regulations. • Coordinating employee offboarding processes, including finalizing payrolls, updating HR records, and ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees. • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of payroll transactions, employee data, and compliance documentation. • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure seamless integration with financial systems and processes. • Providing exceptional customer service to employees and management by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner. • Staying updated on changes to Indian labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and minimize risk. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably with a focus on Indian labor laws and regulations. • Strong understanding of payroll processes, including data entry, calculation, and payment issuance. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve errors or discrepancies. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. • Familiarity with HR systems and payroll software is a plus.
