Payroll Accountant

Job description

Adecco For a major international institution, we are looking for a full-time Payroll Accountant. Responsibilities - Possess and manage the monthly payroll calculation in a timely and precise manner - Prepare monthly/annual reports and perform procedures related to payroll, tax at source, and social security - Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards regarding payroll and social security at all times - Announce employee arrivals and departures to social security partners; request a loss of earnings (APG) if necessary - Serve as the main internal and external point of contact for all payroll-related questions - Proactively counsel and support employees on payroll, social security, and tax at source matters. - Regularly evaluate and improve all payroll processes - Based on your accounting knowledge, you will also perform occasional accounting tasks to support the team in their duties - Support the accounting team in their tasks - Participate in monthly closing; perform various balance sheet reconciliations - Provide assistance and guidance during monthly payroll forecasting and annual budgeting process. Profile - Bachelor's degree in business administration, Federal Specialist Certificate in finance and accounting, or equivalent - Diploma in accounting - 5 years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally in an accounting firm and/or small to medium-sized enterprise in the region - Mastery of French and English; excellent written and verbal communication skills - Solid knowledge of Swiss social security system and tax at source - Knowledge of SwissSalary or any other major payroll system certified by SWISSDEC - Good understanding of financial and accounting principles - Strong team spirit with the ability to work independently and respect deadlines - Pragmatic, proactive, and well-organized - Detail-oriented, reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality - Strong customer service orientation and ability to work in a culturally diverse organization - Responsible, positive attitude, and capable of proposing solutions proactively when faced with problems. - Person concerned about the system and possessing advanced Excel skills.
