Payload RF Design Engineer

Job Description Department: Space & Satellite Designation: Payload RF Design Engineer SAMTEL Avionics invites applications for a Payload RF Design Engineer in its new space vertical, focusing on RF package design, high-power and low-power components, antenna design, simulation, and analysis for satellite payloads in Satcom applications. Key Responsibilities Design and simulate RF packages, including high-power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, and filters for Ka-band, S-band, and X-band satellites; Develop and maintain detailed designs of RF components, including amplifiers, filters, and antennas; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets requirements; Conduct simulations and analysis using software tools such as AWR Microwave Office, ADS, or equivalent; Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations; Participate in design reviews and contribute to the development of design documentation; Stay up-to-date with advancements in RF technology and apply knowledge to improve designs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 3+ years of experience in RF design for satellite payloads; Strong understanding of RF principles, including electromagnetic theory, antenna design, and signal processing; Proficiency in simulation software such as AWR Microwave Office, ADS, or equivalent; Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent; Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as FCC, ITU-R, and ISO; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
