Mō te tūranga | About the role We’re looking for a Pavement Engineer to join our team based in Burnside, Christchurch or in Penrose, Auckland. In this role, you’ll support all areas of pavement engineering across design, materials, construction, rehabilitation, investigations, and post-construction evaluation. It’s a hands-on role with plenty of variety, real responsibility, and the chance to do good work with good people. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities Deliver fit-for-purpose solutions that meet our clients’ needs; Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and other technical experts; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards; Provide expert advice and guidance on pavement engineering matters; Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and construction methods; Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our clients’ needs, expectations, and requirements; Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed. It’s a role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about pavement engineering, has a strong sense of curiosity, and is always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes. Ngā tino kawenga whakamārama | Key role requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Minimum 3 years of experience in pavement engineering; Strong understanding of pavement design, construction, and maintenance principles; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to travel as required.
