Pennylane offers you the opportunity to grow within a rapidly growing company.
Here, your expertise will directly contribute to helping entrepreneurs regain control of their finances. Discover a place where your skills will be valued and where you can shape the future of financial management.
Our Vision
Our ambition is to become the preferred financial steering software for European SMEs.
We help entrepreneurs get rid of time-consuming accounting and finance tasks, while giving them access to key financial information to help them make the best decisions for their business.
At the same time, we help accounting firms by allowing them to spend less time on redundant and repetitive tasks, and more time on advising and supporting their clients.
About Pennylane
Pennylane is one of the fastest-growing FinTech companies in France, and plans to address the European market soon.
In our 6 years of existence, we have managed to:
💻 Position ourselves on the market as an innovative accounting and financial management solution provider
💰 Raise a total of 400 million euros from renowned investors, including Sequoia, the flagship Silicon Valley fund, known for having supported Google, Facebook, Airbnb, Stripe, Paypal, and many others at their beginnings
👨👩👧👦 Grow from 7 co-founders to a team of 1000 employees, with an average rating of 4.9/5 on Glassdoor and 94% of Glassdoor reviewers would recommend PL to their loved ones!
🌍 Build an international team composed of employees from 25 different countries, with a very flexible remote work culture
🤝 Earn the trust of thousands of users and receive excellent feedback
🚀 Over 900,000 VSEs/SMEs and over 6,000 accounting firms already use Pennylane in France!
Why is this role important at Pennylane?
ANECS and CJEC bring together a generation that is already helping to shape the accounting firm of tomorrow: accounting firm employees, trainee chartered accountants, thesis writers, recent graduates, founders, buyers, and young chartered accountants in practice.
Not all of them will create their own firm. Many will evolve within existing structures and directly participate in their transformation: new production practices, development of new services, adoption of AI, commercial structuring, team attractiveness, and productivity improvement.
For members in the process of setting up, taking over, or already established, the challenges are very concrete: choosing the right tools, developing their business, structuring teams and services, gaining efficiency, and identifying new growth levers. Pennylane has a role to play beyond that of a simple software provider: to become a business development and productivity partner for firms that are created, transforming, and growing.
ANECS and CJEC constitute a dense national and regional ecosystem, with nearly 50 sections. The offices are renewed alternately, every two years, which requires continuous relationship management and structured handover between outgoing and incoming teams.
This position is key to:
building lasting preference for Pennylane among the new generation of the accounting profession;
supporting members in their career challenges, firm development, and practice transformation;
transforming partnerships, events, and public speaking engagements into qualified leads, signals of intent, and opportunities;
securing an ongoing relationship with national bodies and regional sections;
making Pennylane a recognized partner for developing the business and productivity of accounting firms.
How will you contribute to the project?
You will build and manage the relationship between Pennylane and the ANECS-CJEC ecosystem. Your mission is to make Pennylane a reference partner for those who are evolving the accounting profession: future chartered accountants, firm employees, founders, buyers, and young practitioners.
You will combine a strong field presence, active community management, the creation of useful content, and close collaboration with the sales team. You will develop a deep understanding of members, their career paths, and their needs in order to identify relevant moments to engage Pennylane: professional development, setting up a firm, taking over a firm, recruitment, developing new services, or the need for increased productivity.
You will manage the national relationship with ANECS and CJEC, animate the network of regional sections, and ensure relationship continuity during the alternating renewal of offices.
You will design and lead the most relevant initiatives: events, workshops, content, community formats, and public speaking engagements.
In close collaboration with the sales team, you will contribute to initiatives targeting founders, buyers, and young firms. You will develop a qualified community, identify signals of intent, and ensure smooth handover of opportunities to the sales teams at the right moment in each contact's journey.
You will report to Cyril Chanson, Partnership Manager – Accounting Profession, and will work daily with the Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Education, and Events teams.
What will be your daily tasks?
National Partnership Management — 20%
Manage the national relationship with ANECS and CJEC from end to end: annual convention, governance, budget, negotiation of benefits, and activation plan.
Manage the sponsorship and events budget, estimated at around €35k per year, and track its return on investment.
Secure and then activate the most useful benefits: visibility, content, speaking opportunities, access to sections, exclusive formats, and qualification opportunities.
Build a relationship of trust with national bodies and ensure the continuity of the partnership over time.
Network Animation and Field Presence — 30%
Animate the ANECS-CJEC community at the national and regional level, with a regular presence with the sections, their offices, and their members.
Maintain a reliable mapping of elected officials, ambassadors, and local contacts; actively prepare handovers between outgoing and incoming offices.
Build and execute an ambitious and prioritized field presence plan: congresses, summer schools, DEC After events, young members' evenings, Olympiads, Young Members' Days, round tables, and local events.
Design useful and engaging activations: workshops, testimonials, networking formats, demonstrations, peer exchanges, and public speaking.
Ensure post-event follow-up: contact qualification, community activation, transmission of relevant signals to sales teams, and sharing of field learnings.
Work with the events manager on the preparation and organization of priority events.
Initiatives for Founders, Buyers, and Young Firms — 20%
Co-create with the sales team initiatives aimed at founders, buyers, and young firms: targeting, calendar, offers, content, events, and activation paths.
Provide in-depth knowledge of the paths, needs, and signals of intent observed within the ANECS-CJEC community.
Identify moments when Pennylane can create value: setting up a firm, taking over a firm, structuring a team, choosing tools, developing new services, sales, AI, or productivity.
Qualify and transmit high-potential contacts and projects to the sales team according to a shared process.
Track, with the sales team, the contribution of these initiatives to the pipeline and MRR attributable to the channel.
Activation Strategy, Content, and Community — 20%
Define and manage a community strategy combining physical presence, digital meetings, content, email, social media, and local outreach.
Design formats that are useful to members at each stage of their journey: passing exams, exploring practice types, setting up a firm, taking over a firm, growing, or modernizing a firm.
Develop content and events around the challenges transforming accounting firms: AI, productivity, new services, organization, recruitment, business development, and client experience.
Formalize needs, brief the Enablement team, and coordinate content production.
Build, segment, and manage a qualified community base over time, in compliance with consent and data management rules.
Performance Management and Intelligence — 10%
Track network coverage, generated contacts, lead quality, community engagement, detected signals, influenced pipeline, attributable MRR, budget, and ROI.
Produce quarterly reporting presenting results, field learnings, and recommended prioritization decisions.
Monitor competitors' initiatives targeting young professionals in the accounting profession and propose appropriate responses.
Identify the most performing territories, sections, and formats to concentrate resources on actions with the highest potential.
Profile Sought:
You have approximately 4 to 6 years of experience in B2B partnerships, network animation, community growth, indirect sales development, or field marketing with a strong business focus.
You have previously worked in an environment where a national strategy needs to be articulated with local representatives: partners, branches, ambassadors, clients, and internal teams. You know how to transform field presence or a community into a measurable dynamic of contacts, engagement, and opportunities.
You particularly enjoy field work, regular travel to different regions, and direct interaction with professional communities. You are as comfortable in a relationship with a section president as you are in facilitating a workshop in front of members, or in rigorously tracking a contact database and its business signals.
Essential Skills:
Network and Community Animation: create lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders, identify the right contacts, animate a community, and maintain continuity despite personnel changes.
Field Enthusiasm: enjoy engaging with professionals in the regions, participating in events, and transforming a one-off presence into a lasting relationship.
Strategic Partnerships: manage a national convention, negotiate benefits, manage a budget, and keep a partnership alive beyond its signing.
Business Orientation: identify the most promising actions, sections, and events; understand members' needs and relay relevant signals to the sales team.
Community Growth: structure a contact database, segment it, create engagement sequences, and develop long-term engagement.
Public Speaking and Pedagogy: facilitate a workshop or webinar, and make topics related to sales, AI, productivity, services, or firm development accessible.
Data-Driven Management: track engagement, signals, territorial coverage, pipeline, attributable MRR, and ROI of activations.
Cross-functional Coordination: work effectively with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Education, and Events teams.
Autonomy: take ownership of a national scope, propose a plan, execute it, and escalate necessary decisions at the right time.
What would be a plus, but not mandatory
Knowledge of the accounting profession, the path to the DEC (Diplôme d'Expertise Comptable), or setting up an accounting firm.
A network within ANECS, CJEC, accounting and management schools, incubators, or young entrepreneur networks.
Experience in a SaaS, FinTech, management tools, or entrepreneur support environment.
Proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot, Brevo, or a comparable tool.
Experience in creating B2B content or managing professional social media networks.
Recruitment Process:
30-minute video call with a Business Recruiter.
45-minute interview with Cyril Chanson, Partnership Manager – Accounting Profession.
1-hour case study with Cyril and Valentin Notteau, Head of Sales Accounting Firms, or Claudia, Sales Team Lead — ideally in person.
45-minute final interview with Édouard, Head of Sales.
Team fit session with the main partner teams, via video call or in person.
