Your Mission

As the voice of our customers in Germany, you will be responsible for their success with the Pennylane platform.

Your core responsibilities:

- Customer Onboarding: You will take full responsibility for onboarding new customers – both companies and tax advisory firms – onto the Pennylane platform. You will ensure they quickly gain the maximum possible value from our solution.

- Existing Customer Support: You will be the primary point of contact for our existing customers. You will foster a trusting relationship, identify upsell potential, and ensure that customers are optimally utilizing Pennylane to achieve their business goals.

- Proactive Consulting: You will conduct regular health checks and reviews to maximize customer satisfaction and retention and prevent churn.

- Internal Project Work: You will work closely with the German Sales team and management to optimize processes, provide feedback on product requirements, and contribute to Pennylane's strategic growth in Germany.

- Expertise: You will develop into a product expert for the financial and accounting landscape in Germany and share this knowledge with our customers.

What You Bring

- Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience in accounting, account management, or a similar customer-facing role, ideally in a tax advisory firm environment or alternatively in the SaaS or Fintech sector.

- Completed training as a tax assistant (Steuerfachangestellter), tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt), or tax advisor (Steuerberater), or a degree in Finance.

- Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the needs of companies and/or tax advisors regarding finance, invoicing, and accounting is necessary.

- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and a talent for explaining complex issues simply.

- Hands-on Mentality: As part of an early-stage team in Germany, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and ready to help shape processes from the ground up.

- Willingness to Travel: For onboarding at the Paris HQ and for regular visits to our customers within Germany (approx. once a month).

- Languages: Fluent German (C2 level or native speaker) and fluent English (for collaboration with the international team).
