Employee Experience Partner - Doctoral Candidates Mission The PEXP Partner - Doctoral Candidates provides advice and support to the doctoral community as a whole, including doctoral candidates and thesis supervisors for all matters relating to the management of specific and complex, ensuring compliance, quality, and consistency of tasks and responsibilities. - Supports and accompanies unit managers in all matters related to the management of doctoral candidates, from their arrival to their departure from EPFL (onboarding, end-of-period, and accompanies doctoral candidates throughout their career at EPFL. - Develops, plans, and organizes for doctoral candidates and unit managers on VPH. - Manages and ensures monitoring of in relation to doctoral candidates, in collaboration with the PEXP Partners in the perimeter concerned. - Supports PEXP Partners in closure projects, etc., regarding aspects related to doctoral candidates. - Collaborates with PEXP Partners by transmitting regular reports concerning the PhDs in their perimeter. - Collaborates with the various centers of expertise. - Ensures the implementation of VPH policies and legal frameworks. - Actively contributes to internal and cross-functional projects, working groups, in order to develop our processes and in relation to doctoral candidates. - Team members provide help and support to colleagues, thus promoting the fluidity of activities and the spirit of collaboration within the team. Profile - Bachelor's degree in university or HES, with a degree in Human Resources, or deemed equivalent (CAS in - 8 years of experience in a similar role with the same responsibilities within a large company - experience in the academic world is a major asset. - Ability to manage complex situations, de-escalate conflicts, and facilitate discussions. - Very good and excellent ability to manage priorities and stress. - Ability to build trust, and are essential qualities. - Good knowledge of Swiss legal and HR frameworks; knowledge of public law is a plus. - Competencies in English and French. - Solution-oriented approach, analytical, and synthesis skills. - Ability to network and well-developed team spirit.
