Description of the post
The HR Business Partner collaborates closely with business partners to progress the people and organization strategy throughout the company. This role is responsible for all HR activities within its client group.
We are looking for someone with solid operational experience and a continuous improvement mindset to act as a strategic HR partner.
Main responsibilities :
- Implement the personnel and organizational strategy within client groups, and develop solutions in collaboration with local management teams.
- Collaborate with the Vice-President, General Manager, and management team to offer HR programs and initiatives supporting MAC's growth strategy.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement at the factory.
- Serve as a trusted partner by offering coaching, advice, and strategic perspective on business, teams, and employees' issues.
- Execute key HR processes within client groups, supporting managers and employees to achieve effective and rapid results.
- Ensure complete talent acquisition process management to fill all open positions in accordance with established standards.
- Develop and implement talent management plans aiming to have the right people with the right skills at the right places.
- Implement strategies to improve talent attraction, management, and development.
- Develop and implement solutions based on engagement survey data to foster a culture aligned with the company's aspirations.
- Ensure a positive employee experience by managing the entire welcome and integration process.
- Manage compensation practices within client groups in accordance with company standards, and formulate salary offer, adjustment, and promotion recommendations.
- Use HRIS system to produce reports and analyses on workforce data.
- Manage employee departure process, including exit interviews, payroll, benefits, and coordination with IT.
- Manage claims and absences (illness, CNESST, etc.) from start to finish, including planning for return-to-work.
- Interpret and apply company policies while serving as a resource to managers and employees.
- Conduct internal investigations in accordance with established protocols.
- Participate in inter-functional projects and initiatives, providing project management, coordination, and planning support.
- Serve as an intermediary between employees, managers, and payroll to resolve compensation issues and propose process improvements.
- Promote continuous improvement in all HR and company aspects.
- This role supports both local employees and expanded teams across North America. Fluency in English is required to collaborate effectively with external stakeholders outside Quebec.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are compliant with legislation and regulations in force in Quebec.
This position is on-site at MAC's installations located in Saint-Hubert.
