Paramedic

Main Tasks and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. Essential Functions · Performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including neonatal, paediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients and the general patient population. · Verifies that the assigned area is safe and free from hazards before starting any treatment or procedure. · Provides emergency care to patients with injuries or illnesses, such as bleeding control, splinting, and wound cleaning. · Administers medications and treatments as ordered by a physician. · Conducts patient assessments and provides appropriate interventions based on those assessments. · Utilizes communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers. · Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment. · Participates in quality improvement activities to improve patient outcomes and reduce medical errors. · Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. · Provides education and support to patients and their families on disease prevention, management, and self-care. · Stays current with advancements in emergency medicine and maintains certification as a Paramedic.
