Paramedic - PNG

National St John Ambulance PNG is seeking clinically confident Paramedics to join its growing team, providing advanced emergency care while supporting the development of ambulance services across Papua New Guinea.

This is more than a paramedic role—it's an opportunity to make a genuine impact while working alongside experienced clinicians in one of the Pacific's most unique healthcare environments.

The Opportunity

• Deliver advanced pre-hospital emergency care

• Provide medical support to Australian personnel deployed throughout PNG

• Work alongside local ambulance officers, doctors and healthcare professionals

• Mentor and support local clinicians through education and clinical leadership

• Work autonomously across regional and remote locations including Lae, Kokopo, Mt Hagen and Port Moresby

• Experience a unique combination of frontline clinical work, international health and operational paramedicine

Essential Requirements

• Current registration with the New Zealand Paramedic Council (Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council) or current registration with an equivalent CAA-recognised paramedic registration authority.

• Minimum three years' post-graduate experience within the last five years with Hato Hone St John, Wellington Free Ambulance, or another recognised emergency ambulance service

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions

• Ability to relocate to Papua New Guinea for the duration of the contract

• Eligibility to obtain AHPRA registration during the recruitment process (required prior to commencement)
