Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Painter to join our maintenance team.

Position Summary

The Painter will be responsible for carrying out painting, surface preparation, and finishing works across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, filling, and priming prior to painting.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, sealants, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colours and finishes in accordance with project specifications.
• Perform repainting and touch-up work as part of scheduled property maintenance programs.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and undertake minor repairs to achieve a quality finish.
• Protect surrounding areas and ensure work sites are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials in accordance with company procedures.
• Complete assigned work within project deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Liaise effectively with supervisors, clients, and other maintenance personnel to ensure successful project delivery.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant trade qualification and a minimum of two years of relevant full-time experience as a Painter.
• Demonstrated experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting and maintenance works.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint systems, coatings, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to interpret work instructions and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Current White Card is desirable.
