To support this expansion and meet the increasing demand for the services, Company seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join the team. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and collaboratively, demonstrating professionalism, precision, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results on every project.

Responsibilities:

• Painting to the highest standard of workmanship - surface preparation skills, as well as mixing and matching.
• Washing, scraping, sanding and/or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials.
• Assembling ladders properly to manage risk of falls and increase safety.
• Erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at various heights.
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
• Preparing walls and surfaces for painting by washing them down, scraping, filling holes and cracks, and removing old paint.
• Installation, repair and maintain all sorts of internal surfaces, walls and ceilings.
• Be proficient in various methods of paint application such as brush, roll, spray, etc.
• Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers.
• Apply varnish and other finishes.
• Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials and other hazardous materials.
• Preparing the surrounding area by covering it with cloth or plastic to prevent messes.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the site and painting tools after completion of the task.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III Level qualification is required.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a painter.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum.
