The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Painter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paints, and ensuring every project meets our stringent standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Job Tasks

• Setup & Protection:
• Erect scaffolding and ladders as required, and place drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering and damage.
• Surface Preparation:
• Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces to ensure a flawless finish.
• Paint Preparation:
• Select and prepare paints to required colours by accurately mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning/drying additives.
• Application:
• Apply paints, varnishes, and stains to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Wallpaper Installation:
• Hang wallpaper, ensuring patterns are matched seamlessly and edges are trimmed neatly.
• Site Maintenance:
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas during and after projects to ensure a safe and tidy environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven at least 1 year experience as a professional painter.
• Proficiency in surface preparation, paint mixing, and application techniques.
• Experience with wallpaper installation and pattern matching.
• Ability to erect scaffolding and ladders safely.
• Knowledge of tools, materials, and methods used in painting and decorating.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
