We are seeking a qualified and experienced Painter to join our growing team at Godfather & Son Building Services Pty Ltd. This is a full-time role with a competitive salary, working on a variety of residential and commercial painting projects across Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, and filling cracks and holes.

Apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.

Mix and match paint colours to achieve the desired finish.

Protect surrounding areas and surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape.

Ensure high-quality workmanship with attention to detail and precision.

Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free worksite.

Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other trades as required.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Painter in residential or commercial settings.

Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finish types.

Ability to work at heights and use ladders/scaffolding safely.

Reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence.

White Card (Construction Induction Card) – required.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Good communication and time management skills.

Desirable:

Trade qualification in Painting & Decorating (Certificate III or equivalent).
