Paediatric Physiotherapist

About the role;
Working with a range of paediatric clients (ages 0-16yrs old) who have physical and cognitive rehabilitation requirements. As a Physiotherapist you will be assessing and treating neurodevelopment, neurological and MSK conditions and disabilities.

The role is varied and no two days are the same - working across three units / clinics & within the community (home / school visits) that cover western Wellington (Porirua, Keneperu and Kapiti regions).
You will have the ability to network and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to further your clinical knowledge. If you are a Physiotherapist with energy, a can-do attitude, with a client focused mindset and the ability to help children achieve their rehabilitation goals, read on.

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Manage a caseload of clients providing clinical guidance and support
• Carry out client assessments and report on your findings
• Utilise your "play" skills to facilitate movement, activity and participation
• Negotiate with stakeholders ensuring a safe rehab process
• Provide clients and their families with education and support

Skills and experience you will need;

• A minimum of 3-4 years post graduate clinical experience
• Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of NZ, and current APC
• Comprehensive neurological and musculoskeletal assessment skills.
• Goal focused team player with the ability to work autonomously
• Full clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
