Outpatient Therapist - Lorain (Part-Time 20-28 hrs/week)

AGENCY SUMMARY Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment. POSITION SUMMARY Our Outpatient Therapists make a difference in the lives of the children and families in need, working with them to develop coping skills, improve relationships and enhance overall well-being. RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS Provide individual, group and family therapy sessions to clients as assigned. Develop and implement treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and tailored to each client's unique needs. Collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and teachers, to ensure comprehensive care for our clients. Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings to share information and coordinate services. Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions, progress and outcomes. Provide crisis intervention and emergency response as needed. Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, schools and other organizations to facilitate referrals and collaborations. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology) from an accredited institution. Current licensure or certification as a therapist, counselor or social worker. Experience working with children, adolescents and families in need. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
