Job description

Packaging machines are becoming increasingly networked and digital. This also increases the demands on stable OT networks, secure machine communication, and reliable security components in the product and customer environment.

You will ensure that our product- and customer-related OT network and security solutions function reliably and are further developed securely. You will analyze technical issues, support with disruptions, and establish robust standards for secure machine communication.

Your tasks with us
  • Operating, maintaining, and further developing our product and OT network as well as security solutions
  • Ensuring the functionality, up-to-dateness, and operational security of relevant components, including patching, configuration maintenance, and standard and special profiles
  • Analyzing and evaluating OT networks, industrial communication, and machine connections, including with regard to VLAN, routing, NAT, firewalls, and data transmission
  • Validating and optimizing network, NAT, and security concepts as well as deriving appropriate measures in case of technical disruptions
  • Processing and prioritizing relevant tickets as well as contributing technically to incident and vulnerability management
  • Evaluating technical customer requirements and security-relevant information as well as preparing results in an understandable way for internal interfaces and stakeholders
What you bring with you
  • Completed technical apprenticeship or a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation technology, network technology, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience with OT networks, industrial communication, network administration, or network security
  • Very good understanding of network technologies, network architectures, and protocols, as well as practical experience with firewalls, segmentation, VLAN, routing, and NAT
  • Technical understanding of OT systems, machine control systems, and industrial plants as well as basic knowledge of bus systems and industrial data transmission, for example OPC
  • Experience in analyzing network and communication disruptions as well as with incident, ticket, or vulnerability management processes
  • Structured, analytical, and self-reliant way of working, strong prioritization and communication skills, as well as good German and English language skills
