ju:niz Energy develops, builds, and operates grid-serving large-scale battery storage systems throughout Germany. Our facilities stabilize the power grid, create flexibility, and enable the further expansion of renewable energies. We invest in our battery storage projects and retain them in our own portfolio long-term.

As an OT Network Engineer, you will ensure that the networks and infrastructure of our battery storage systems function reliably and securely. Together with our OT team, you will operate the technical infrastructure, secure communication between systems, and support the connection of new facilities.

Your Tasks

• You will operate and maintain our OT-related infrastructure components – from networks and servers to end devices and backup systems.
• In the setup and further development of our OT networks, you will design the architecture, implement network segmentation and DMZ concepts, and ensure secure interfaces between IT and OT.
• You will administer firewalls and remote access solutions so that remote access occurs in a controlled manner and the security boundaries of our systems are maintained.
• The secure connection of edge and IoT components, as well as endpoint management in the OT environment, will also be part of your responsibilities.
• Together with our cybersecurity team, you will implement technical standards, system hardening, and a coordinated patch management.
• In case of disruptions in the network, SCADA, or energy management systems, you will analyze the causes and coordinate the resolution in close coordination with the Digital OT Lead and the OT team.
• You will accompany new locations and facilities during infrastructure rollout and support their integration into our existing OT landscape.
• Through comprehensible documentation and standardized configurations, you will create the basis for reliable operation and further standardization of our infrastructure.
• You will work closely with our managed services partners and the cybersecurity team on monitoring and incident response.

Your Profile

• A completed vocational training or a degree in the IT/OT environment forms the basis of your qualification.
• You have already gained several years of practical experience in operating network, server, and OT infrastructure.
• OT networks, network segmentation, and the secure integration of IT and OT are among your professional strengths.
• You are familiar with the administration of firewalls and remote access solutions.
• Knowledge of endpoint management with Microsoft Intune and the Microsoft 365 environment is an advantage.
• You approach technical problems in a structured and solution-oriented manner, always keeping the availability and security of the systems in mind.
• For rollouts and technical deployments, you are willing to travel to our facility locations.
• For close collaboration with our team, you will be on-site at our office in Aschheim near Munich two to three days a week.
• You can communicate well in German (at least C2) and English in your daily work and on technical topics.
