Order to Cash Specialist

About the Role

As an Order-to-Cash Process Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, optimizing and continuously improving end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes within an international industrial environment.

You will work at the intersection of business processes and SAP, translating business requirements into efficient, standardized and sustainable process solutions across international projects.

Therefore, a successful candidate would be responsible for:

• Design, analyze and continuously improve end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes, identifying optimization opportunities, inefficiencies, gaps and dependencies across the process landscape.
• Develop and optimize process designs and translate business requirements into sustainable business process and SAP solutions, with a focus on SAP R/3 and S/4HANA Order-to-Cash processes.
• Independently analyze business requirements, assess change requests and evaluate their impact on existing processes, systems and business operations.
• Drive the standardization and harmonization of O2C processes across business units and international locations.
• Develop and maintain business concepts, process descriptions, process documentation, user guides and training materials.
• Work closely with Process Owners, Key Users, business functions and central SAP IT to design and implement effective end-to-end process solutions.
• Support the implementation of new processes, process improvements and system enhancements, including participation in testing and validation activities.
• Analyze process and system issues, identify root causes and initiate appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Support SAP users in resolving process-related questions and provide guidance on O2C processes and SAP functionality.
• Conduct targeted training sessions and support business users in the successful adoption of new and improved processes.
• Support operational Order-to-Cash activities in SAP R/3 for the relevant business units when required.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the company's global O2C process landscape, ensuring processes remain efficient, scalable and aligned with business needs.
• Identify opportunities for automation, simplification and digitalization of O2C processes and contribute to future-oriented process solutions.

Therefore, a successful candidate would have:

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in business process management, process design, SAP, Order-to-Cash, Sales processes or a related area.
• Alternatively, completed two-year technical college education combined with 3–5 years of relevant professional experience and additional specialized training.
• Strong experience in designing, analyzing and improving end-to-end business processes, ideally in an international industrial environment.
• Excellent understanding of Order-to-Cash / OTC processes, particularly across Sales and related business functions.
• Experience with SAP SD is desirable; experience with SAP R/3 and/or S/4HANA is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex process landscapes, identify root causes and develop pragmatic solutions.
• Experience in process harmonization, standardization and continuous improvement.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office and Atlassian tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to quickly understand new business requirements and independently translate them into effective process solutions.
• Proactive and independent working style, combined with an interest in process innovation, automation and digitalization.
• Knowledge of agile working methodologies.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and IT stakeholders.
