Oracle CC&B Tester

Overview:
As an Oracle CC&B Tester, you will be responsible for validating the Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing system to ensure it meets business requirements for utility companies. You will design, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts focused on Oracle CC&B functionalities including customer management, billing processes, meter data handling, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for various Oracle CC&B modules.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) of Oracle CC&B applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Identify, report, and track defects using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., HP QC, Jira).
• Validate billing calculations, rate schedules, customer data handling, payment processing, and exception handling scenarios.
• Support SIT and UAT phases with test data preparation, execution, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for environment setup and integration testing.
• Assist with automation of test cases where applicable to improve efficiency.
• Prepare test reports, status updates, and provide inputs for release readiness.
• Ensure compliance with testing standards, quality best practices, and company guidelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience (typically 3-6 years) in manual and/or automated testing of Oracle Utilities CC&B or similar billing systems.
• Good understanding of utility billing processes, customer care workflows, and meter data management in Oracle CC&B.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as HP Quality Center, Jira, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SQL queries for backend validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with integration testing and Web Services API testing is a plus.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in utility billing is advantageous.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
