🐼 Who is Alan?

In France, millions of people forgo healthcare due to lack of time, access, or means. Alan was born to change that—by combining health insurance and a virtual clinic in a single application to become a true health partner.

Optics is at the heart of Alan's promise, "Health can't wait." With the Alan Shop, our members buy glasses and contact lenses from the app; with our network of partner opticians, they get better reimbursements in-store; and our Fraud teams ensure that every euro reimbursed is done so appropriately.

We have proven that a health insurance company can sell optical products online. We now want to scale up, with an additional optician on the team.

👓 What we are looking for
A qualified optician, comfortable with remote consultation and motivated to join the team of opticians handling various optical tasks for Alan Shop.

The missions:

• Optical Chat. Respond to our members on the app (frame selection, prescription reading, lenses, contact lenses, general optical questions), with the Alan tone: clear, caring, personalized.

• Contact Lens Order Validation. Review prescriptions that our automated tool cannot validate, and report suspicions of fraud (altered dates, falsified documents) to our dedicated team.

• "My Optician at Work". Conduct consultation and sales days on-site at our client companies, across France and primarily in Île-de-France: welcome employees, provide style advice, take measurements, assist with frame selection.

• Continuous Improvement. Share your field feedback to evolve the service, and potentially be involved in additional missions such as:

  • contributing to the scaling of Mo, our AI health companion, for simple optical questions

  • expanding the Alan Shop frame catalog in collaboration with Marketing to create collections

  • supporting the scaling and updates of the Alan Optique network, particularly on tariff grid updates

  • improving "My Optician at Work" days with the sales team to maximize satisfaction, experience, and conversion of these events.

⭐️ The Profile
Do you recognize yourself?

• ✅ Optician-Optometrist Diploma (BTS Opticien Lunetier or equivalent) — essential, with an up-to-date registration number.

• ✅ At least 3 years of experience in a store, ideally with a strong focus on consultation and style (face shape analysis, colorimetry: a real plus).

• ✅ Proficiency in contact lenses and prescription reading, including complex cases (toric, multifocal).

• ✅ Based in Paris or Île-de-France, available for on-site days.

• ✅ Available for flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for chat, with flexibility to absorb peak periods.

• ✅ Comfortable with digital tools; curious about online optical practice and enthusiastic about integrating AI into your daily work.

• ✅ Excellent written communication in French; English is a plus.

• ✅ Independent status (micro-enterprise or company), or willing to set one up.
