Optical Engineer

Job Summary Domain specific knowledge in electronics, mechanical, optics, firmware, system are required and combined towards our SICK purpose to deliver sensor intelligence into products & solutions. Roles and Responsibilities: Design and develop optical circuits, modules and systems for SICK Products. Perform test procedures to verify and ensure Product quality and robustness. Complete all assigned and required tasks to fulfil project scope including timely product launch. Support to close Projects and ensure that all necessary documentation is available. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. Optimize optical system performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness. Develop and maintain technical expertise in optics, electronics, mechanical engineering and firmware. Stay up-to-date with latest trends and developments in the field of sensor technology and apply this knowledge to improve our products and solutions.
