What will you do?

Freedom, being on the road, and lots of contact with people. If that suits you, then a job as a bus driver could be your next destination. In this role, you ensure every day that our passengers reach their destinations safely and comfortably. Do you not yet have experience as a bus driver and no D driving license? No worries. If you are enthusiastic and we are too, then we will provide your training and give you a job guarantee for one of the nicest jobs in the Netherlands. As a bus driver (in training) at Transdev – the largest mobility company in the Netherlands – no day is the same.

As a bus driver, you are a familiar face for our passengers: reliable, engaged, and friendly. They can count on you through all kinds of weather. They get on your bus with peace of mind, because you ensure they reach their destination comfortably and on time. You will naturally drive fixed routes according to an existing timetable, but we give you the freedom to do your work your way. What we offer you:

A good bus driver is social, independent, responsible, and stress-resistant. Safety is paramount in your work, followed closely by the care for your passengers. You enjoy making a real contribution to society. A bit of humor and patience are also very welcome.

Furthermore, we ask:

• A valid B driving license
• MBO (vocational) work and thinking level
• Living in the Westervoort area
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts
• Good command of the Dutch language to be able to follow the training

What do you bring?

As a bus driver at Transdev, you work independently, but you are never alone. Together with over 8,000 colleagues, you work on mobility every day. If you are new to the profession, you can enter the training to become a bus driver through the Transdev Academy. At our own academy, we train you to become a fully-fledged bus driver in approximately 12 weeks. We pay for your training, and during this period, you will receive a standby allowance of €1,870 gross per month. In addition, we offer:

• Our trust: a permanent contract after 1 year with good performance;
• A salary between €2,876 and €2,931 per month;
• Monthly irregular hours allowance averaging €355, for full-time employment;
• 8% holiday pay and a year-end bonus of 1.15% and an annual gross payout of €400;
• Occasional rest: 23 to 29 vacation days, depending on your age;
• Extra days off: 17 ADV (Arbeidsduurverkorting - reduction in working hours) days;
• We take care of now and later: pension according to Rail & OV (Public Transport);
• Sustainable mobility: an (electric) bicycle through Lease a Bike after 1 year;
• Travel expenses reimbursement according to the CAO OV (Collective Labour Agreement Public Transport).
