What will you do?

Freedom, being on the road, and lots of contact with people. If that suits you, then a job as a bus driver could be your next destination. In this role, you ensure every day that our passengers get where they need to be safely and comfortably. Don't have experience as a bus driver or a D license yet? No worries. If you are enthusiastic and we are too, we will provide your training and offer you a guaranteed job for one of the nicest professions in the Netherlands. As a bus driver (in training) at Transdev – the largest mobility company in the Netherlands – no two days are the same.

As a bus driver, you are a familiar face to our passengers: reliable, committed, and friendly. They can count on you through thick and thin. They get on your bus with peace of mind, as you ensure they reach their destination comfortably and on time. You will of course drive fixed routes according to an existing timetable, but we give you the freedom to do your work your way. With freedom, responsibility, and plenty of opportunities for self-development.

What we offer you:

A good bus driver is social, independent, responsible, and stress-resistant. Safety is paramount in your work, followed closely by the care for your passengers. You find it rewarding to make a tangible contribution to society. A bit of humor and patience are also very welcome.

Furthermore, we ask:­­­

• A valid B driver's license
• MBO (vocational education) work and thinking level
• Living in the vicinity of Huizen
• Willingness to work in variable shifts
• Good command of the Dutch language to be able to follow the training

What do you bring?

As a bus driver at Transdev, you work independently, but you are never alone. Together with over 8,000 colleagues, you work daily on mobility. If you are new to the profession, you can enter the training to become a bus driver through the Transdev Academy. At our own academy, we train you to become a fully-fledged bus driver in about 12 weeks. We pay for your training, and during this period, you will receive a availability allowance of €1,870 gross per month. Additionally, we offer:

• Our trust: a permanent contract after 1 year with good performance;
• A salary between €2,876 and €2,931 per month;
• Monthly irregularity allowance of an average of €355, for a full-time employment;
• 8% holiday pay and a year-end bonus of 1.15% and an annual gross bonus of €400;
• Occasional rest: 23 to 29 vacation days, depending on your age;
• Extra days off: 17 ATV days;
• We provide for now and later: pension according to Rail & OV;
• Sustainable travel: an (electric) bicycle via Lease a Bike after 1 year;
• Travel expenses reimbursement according to the CAO OV.

You will start at our Lage Weide location in Utrecht. After your first year, you can register for the transfer list to Gooi en Vechtstreek (depot Huizen). As soon as a vacancy arises there, you can make the switch. This way, you know exactly where you stand and you have the prospect of working closer to home if that is your preference.
