Machine Tool Operator
Position: Machine Tool Operator
Work Location: Carrè (VI) or Asigliano Veneto (VI) or Piedimulera (VB)
Department: Production
Hierarchical Dependency: Workshop Manager / Department Manager
Internal Cross-functional Relationships: Department Personnel, Testing, Assembly, Carpentry, Maintenance, Warehouse
Flexible Working Hours: Day shift and/or shift work.
Compensation: Employment based on CCNL Metalmeccanica Confindustria, level to be defined based on experience.
The expected annual gross salary (RAL) ranges between:
- € 27,000 and € 33,000 gross per year for 3 to 6 years of experience;
- € 33,000 to € 40,000 gross per year for more than 6 years of experience

Role Purpose
The resource will be integrated into the production department of one of the plants and will be responsible for processing raw materials and semi-finished products using machine tools (machining centers, milling machines, CNC or traditional lathes). The primary objective is to ensure production conforms to technical drawings, respecting quality standards, established timelines, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Operation and setup: reading technical drawings, mounting tools, and zeroing the machine.
- Programming and Control: on-board CNC programming, modification of cutting parameters/ISO programs, and collaboration with the Technical Office for CAD/CAM cycles.
- Machining and monitoring: execution of chip removal operations, first piece testing, and supervision of machining processes.
- Testing and quality: dimensional verification of parts using measuring instruments, compilation of work reports, and registration of testing data.
- Maintenance and area upkeep: cleaning the work area, routine machinery maintenance, correct product handling, and prompt reporting of any anomalies or malfunctions.
- Safety and collaboration: strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations and company procedures, correct use of PPE, and active collaboration with the testing, carpentry, maintenance, and warehouse teams.
What We Are Looking For
Technical Skills
- Education: Diploma in mechanical and mechatronic fields or equivalent experience gained in the role.
- Technical expertise: good ability to read mechanical drawings and proficiency in using principal measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
- CNC Programming: basic or intermediate knowledge of main ISO programming languages (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Okuma).
- Machining: good manual dexterity and operational precision, knowledge of cutting parameters and machining techniques on various materials/superalloys.
- Maintenance & Procedures: ability to perform routine maintenance and knowledge of the company's production flow.

Preferential Requirements
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM modules.
- Specific experience in superalloy machining.
- Availability for short business trips for mentoring/training or willingness to transfer skills to other sites.
- Basic knowledge of the English language.
