Senior Technician for ICP Instrumentation

For its Bollate (MI) site, CSI S.p.A. is looking for a resource to join the Food Packaging Materials operational sector, as a qualified Senior Technician for analytical testing process lines in the MOCA (Materials and Objects in Contact with Food), food, and material characterization sectors.

The role will involve the use of ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) OES and ICP/MS instrumentation to perform the following activities:

• Preparation of analyses in the food and MOCA sector (use of microwave extractors and CEM, use of new generation chromatographic instrumentation with specific detectors depending on the type of element to be detected);
• Specific migrations of metals in the MOCA sector;
• Analyses on FOOD matrices and on waters for human consumption;
• Basic knowledge of MOCA legislation and related existing technical standards;
• Data management and processing, including at a statistical level.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent command of ICP OES and ICP/MS instruments for analysis and related technologies;
• Advanced chemistry skills;
• Knowledge of advanced analytical chemical laboratory activities;
• Knowledge of the requirements for UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 accreditation;
• Knowledge of basic MOCA legislation and limits associated with global and specific migrations according to D.M. 21/03/73, Reg. 1935/2004, and Reg. 10/2011;

Abilities and Aptitudes:

• Ability to work in a team according to a defined operational workflow;
• Manual dexterity in the laboratory;
• Basic knowledge of common data processing computer tools (Office package).

Data and Educational/Professional Requirements:

• Advanced experience in chemical and physico-chemical analysis laboratories as described above and in-depth knowledge of ICP technologies;

Educational Qualification: Master's degree in scientific disciplines such as Biotechnology, Food Technology, Chemistry, or similar.

Work location: Bollate (MI).

CSI S.p.A offers a direct permanent contract, CCNL Chimico, with a gross annual salary range between 39k-45k Euros based on the competencies acquired in the specific role.
