RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE The Healthcare Assistant: - provides direct assistance to individuals, meeting the needs of guests, particularly in hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and hydration; - carries out simple diagnostic and therapeutic support activities; - reads and takes charge of handovers and individual care plans (PAI); - collaborates on activities aimed at maintaining residual psycho-physical abilities, rehabilitation, reactivation, functional/rehabilitative recovery; - ensures the confidentiality of all information relating to the guest and their families. TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES - ability to identify the patient's primary needs; - knowledge of rules for patient hygiene, environments, and healthcare equipment; - knowledge of risk conditions and the most common syndromes from prolonged bed rest and immobilization; - knowledge of the main simple interventions for health education and prevention of complications in patients with compromised well-being; - knowledge and application of healthcare protocols; - knowledge and application of company procedures. TRANSVERSAL COMPETENCIES Empathy towards the patient, good relational skills, predisposition for teamwork, emotional management, and self-control. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT The assistant reports to the operator coordinator or, in their absence, to the nursing coordinator; Is part of the care team; Collaborates with other assistants, nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, educators, and other care and healthcare professionals.
