Operations Project Manager Energy - Central/Southern Italy

To expand the operations teams in the central-southern areas of Circet Energy, we are looking for an Operations Project Manager to be responsible for the contract, work program, economic account, and client relationship management of one or more projects related to the construction and/or maintenance of plants in the energy sector.

The selected individuals will have end-to-end responsibility for the project, will be responsible for sizing on-site resources, and coordinating a complex network of external and internal stakeholders (engineering, legal, contract management, procurement, and sales functions). In constant communication with site managers, they will set up specifications and price lists, track success metrics for the entire project lifecycle, from procurement to final invoicing, ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability.

• size the workforce and define work phases and activities on-site for operational teams (internal and subcontracted)
• share and validate design choices in close collaboration with the Engineering team
• coordinate work execution, ensuring compliance with contractual milestones and roll-out schedules
• define the projected economic account and configure specifications, price lists, and frameworks on the management system for tracking monthly production, in agreement with Operational Managers
• oversee the monitoring, verification, and periodic review of the project's economic account performance
• supervise the processes of order issuance, production accounting (SAL), invoicing, and management of cash collection/payment flows in collaboration with the Administration department
• analyze and monitor the application of contractual requirements throughout the duration of the works
• plan, share, and update the work plan with the client through periodic alignments and steering committees
• manage in-progress variations, disputes, and penalties with the client, coordinating the sales, contract management, and engineering functions
• represent the lead company in the management and operational/administrative coordination of any Temporary Groupings of Companies
• select subcontracting companies and negotiate related contracts in synergy with Operational Managers and the subcontracting office
• coordinate the purchase and on-site delivery of site materials within the established deadlines, in agreement with the procurement function
• prepare periodic detailed reports on the progress of the works, compliance with contractual KPIs, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Management, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Environmental), other management fields, or a technical diploma with a background in managing complex construction sites/projects
• 5 - 10 years of experience in project/contract management in infrastructure, energy (e.g., EPC, renewables, networks, plants), construction, or related sectors
• proven experience in direct management of project economic accounts
• experience in managing on-site operational dynamics, planning and sizing teams (direct labor vs. subcontractors), and on-site material logistics/delivery
• proficiency in time planning tools (and roll-out monitoring through analysis of progress and performance KPIs).

Willingness to undertake paid business trips to Italian operational sites is required (50-70% of monthly time).

Work location: operational sites in Sicily, Puglia, Abruzzo, Lazio (north).

Reference salary range/employment level: starting from € 38,000 – 45,000; starting from level B1 CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria; permanent contract.
