Operations / Production Manager

A leading corrugated packaging manufacturer in Worcester, Western Cape, renowned for supplying top-quality cartons to the agricultural sector, is seeking an experienced Operations / Production Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic professional to oversee production processes, ensure operational efficiency, and lead a dedicated team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the production facility, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and operational.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in production or operations management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of production planning, quality control, and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
