Operations Manager (Open Pit Mine) – Mining Industry – R1.5mil – R1.3mil

RPO Recruitment’s client in the Mining Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Operations Manager (Open Pit Mine) in Limpopo. This role will be responsible to lead and manage all operational aspects of the open cast mining process, including Crushing, Dense Media Separation (DMS), Dryer and Magnet Plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. The role is accountable for integrating mine planning and pit optimisation with metallurgical processes, quality control and assurance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The successful candidate will be required to have a strong understanding of open pit mining operations, including pit design, planning, and execution, as well as experience in managing and coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders. The role will also require the ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. The Operations Manager (Open Pit Mine) will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, and that all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations are complied with. The role will also involve working closely with the Mine Manager and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance, reduce costs, and increase profitability. The successful candidate will be required to have a strong understanding of the mining industry, including the current trends, challenges, and opportunities, as well as experience in managing and coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders.
