Job description

We’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a fast-growing SME lending business based in Sydney.

This role reports directly to the Head of Operations and will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, optimising processes, and improving the overall customer experience. You will manage a small Quality Assurance team, implement process improvements, and collaborate across Product, Tech, Risk, and Customer Operations to deliver change effectively.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Own and enhance end-to-end operational processes from onboarding to settlement, including hardship management, collections, and complaints
Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
Drive, design, and implement improvement initiatives across operational teams
Conduct process mapping, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead the QA team, reimagining workflows and introducing automation where possible
Support onboarding, training, and adoption of operational systems and tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement change and optimise processes

What You’ll Need:

Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
Experience in project and change management with successful outcomes
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
Proficient in CRM, reporting, and automation tools
Self-motivated, proactive, and continuously seeking operational improvements
Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services highly desirable
